The Inverted Colonic Diverticula (ICD) are a rare condition and occur in approximately 07-1% people. They may be misinterpreted as a polypoid lesion at colonoscopy, which can led to dangerous procedures.
Some maneuvers can help the correct diagnosis of ICD, such as attempting to gently revert the lesion with biopsy forceps, or evaluating the water jet deformation sign. Using the NBI (Narrow Band Imaging) can help the evaluation of non-neoplastic both mucosal and microvascular pattern on the head of the lesion.
